LAUREN: Hey, today we did a few really interesting things: first we woke in Richmond, and went to orientation where we met Liz Emanuel, a student who works at the Obama campaign headquarters. She introduced us to everyone who works at the office and then sent us down to Lynchburg, Virginia. Once we drove down (it took 3 hours), we made phone calls to people on lists and asked them who they were voting for in the presidential election and the US Senate election and we recorded it. Then my dad and I went down to the bus stop to register voters. We met some amazing people and I got to wear a goofy apron that held flyers and cards.I also noticed that a lot of people were smoking cigarettes (gross!). Right now we're watching the Vice Presidential debate and Sarah Palin is annoying me and my dad by saying the word "nuclear" as "Noo-Cu-Ler"
